BETTAN & JAN WERNER

Jan Werner Danielsen (born on April 10, 1976) was 17 years old and entirely unknown when he swept the entire Norway away when he won a big talent-competition called "Talentiaden" with the song "Anthem" out of the musical "Chess" in 1994.
His co-operation with Elisabeth Andreassen began when they sang together in the Norwegian national final of Eurovision Song Contest in 1994.
They won with "Duet" and came on 6th place in the European final in Dublin, Ireland.

In 1997 they went out on their first Christmas-tour in the churches around Norway, and it was the start of the following new tours in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001.
The Christmas-tours became a huge success, sold out conserts and a encore was put in.
The CD "Bettan & Jan Werners Jul" got released at Christmas-time in 1999 and it was based on these church-conserts.

22th July 1998 was the first date for the next big success, the show "Musical Highlights".
Right up to the 8th August 1998 you were able to listen to around 40 musical-hits at Quality Klubben Hotel in Tønsberg, Norway.

Also this success was followed up, with a Norway-tour which started in Skien on 5th February 1999 and ended in Oslo on 1st May 1999.
In January 2000 Bettan and Jan Werner got invited to sing at a gigantic millenium-consert in Carnegie Hall in New York along with several international artists.
Closer to 200 artists participated in "Sounds of a better world - Small voices calling".

The duo made a show called "Glade juli" in the summer of 2001 at Rica Park Hotel in Norwegian Sandefjord.
Jan Werner Danielsen died on September 28, 2006, at the age of 30.
